Normal Skin Structure
To take the best care of your skin, it’s important to understand its makeup. The skin consists of three distinct layers: the epidermis, the protective outer layer that you can see and touch; the dermis, the inner layer where all the work takes place; and subcutaneous fat, which separates the skin from the rest of the tissue in your body. The focus of this article will be on the defects found in the epidermis which makes all the layers of facial skin susceptible to damage and inflammation and how oral Rosadyn plays a key role in reversing these problems. Multiple Defects Found in Rosacea Epidermis Studies have demonstrated that most rosacea sufferers have multiple genetic defects in their epidermis including abnormal thinning, large gaps, and reduced growth of healthy new cells. In many cases the epidermis is 50% to 60% thinner than normal skin and many of the cells are thin, weak and do not form an effective functional barrier. This allows many environmental and external insults to reach blood vessels, skin cells and nerve endings in the underlying dermis – leading to chronic inflammation, flushing and uncomfortable skin sensations. Rosadyn’s Mediterranean Olive Fruit Extract Repairs the Epidermis and Normalizes Skin Reactivity Mediterranean skin is known for its health, beauty and thickness.
