Arrow NEW Clearskin YAG by Sciton for Blood Vessels and Swelling

Sciton just added another laser to their computerized platform.

Right now, this is the single best laser for rosacea broken blood vessels, chronic facial redness and flushing (due to its ability to treat deep-thick blood vessels).

This is the first laser that also treats the lymphatic vessels and fibroplasia, making it one of the best treatments for facial swelling on the cheeks or nose.

As you can see by the link, one treatment completely cleared this rosacea sufferer and dramatically reduced swelling of the nose (compare the before and after photos). I have never seen results like this, especially after one treatment. The other advantage is the safety of this laser with its Dynamic cooling head and its ability to treat semi-tan skin. It's extremely new, so it might be hard to find a practitioner --- contact scition and ask for their physician trained Sciton specialists or see if you can get a hold of Pat Clark, one of the most knowledgeable Laser Physics Physician trainers. Cheers.

The more studies I read on this updated laser and the more patient treatment photos I review..... the more I am impressed. This is the bomb.

Default Great!

Have you heard anything about the pain that comes along with using this laser?? Is it more effective and painful then a photofacial?? What about the downtime after receiving treatment?? Im trying to figure out soon what treatment i should get soon.

Dr Nase,

I will contact Sciton here in Germany and ask them if there is any practitioner using it, but I think Sciton lasers are not very common here in Germany.

I might have more luck finding someone using the Candela Perfecta.

But first I will have another treatment with my usual IPL practitioner trying out the facial steamer method. Hope this will help.

Anyway, thanks for all this important information and news!

Barbara,

Is rosacea treated well in Germany?

I've had success with Sciton and the V-beam, so they both seem to work when a qualified treament practitioner is in charge.

The steamer works great. Dilates all my facial blood vessels without any pain or discomfort.

The Sciton rocks. See if you can find the new YAG first by all means. No bruising and very deep treatment.

Default Laser Help?!?!

I am trying to go next week but I don't know what to use...I don't have too many blood vessels showing yet, more redness throughout my face, port wine stains and enlarged pores. What would anyone recommend the Vbeam laser, IPL, or the GentleYag???

Cal,

I think here in Germany it is the same as in the US or other countries. If you go to a derm you will hear the usual stuff: "avoid your triggers, use topical metronidazol - this will help you". And of course the physical and psychological stress from flushing is totally underestimated. When you go for IPL or laser it is not covered by health insurance company because rosacea is still seen as cosmetic disorder and not as an illness. At least we have many derms offering laser or IPL and here in Germany only a qualified doctor is allowed to do the treatment.

I allready found 2 doctors using the Candela V-beam, but they are quite far away. Will have to do some more search.
