After interviews with Galderma reps. it seems like they are looking into time release delivery systems. This is a good thing as Galderma is notorious for putting active ingredients into lousy bases filled with mineral oil and propylene glycol.
Will Sol-Gel technology be out in time for them to trial it and will they use it? They also have another great alternative called Q-somes. You can fill Q-somes with the active ingredient and trhey gently carry the active ingredient (and alpha adrenergic agonist) deep into the layers of the dermis and release them slowly into the skin over 8 hours. Lets hope they combine this excellent active ingredient with top-notch inactive delivery systems. Geoffrey

Dr Nase,
it always lifts my spirit when I read about Sansrosa. I have much so hope it will help me. Are you able to give a rough estimate of the launch of Sansrosa? Do you think we still have to wait years? Thanks, Barbara |

Hi Barb, I think this product will come to fruition. They just need to decide what strength to use and then measure blood pressure to make sure too much is not absorbed. The biggest time gap was switching companies. Once you reach phase III studies, things move fast. _

Dr. Nase,
thanks, I'm looking forward to any news about the development of Sansrosa. Again Thank you for all your time and effort you are putting in this board. The Dose-Finding-Study (Phase II) of Sansrosa has been completed now. Good stuff Barbara. It takes a while to publish, so they are full tilt into Phase III trials. Time release, the right concentration and the proper base could make for the best topical yet. _
