Always a major concern for rosacea sufferers.
One suggestion that seems to decrease redness, flushing and outbreaks after showering is to block inflammatory enzymes before you shower. The infamous COX-1 and COX-2 inflammatory enzymes in the skin are involved in water and cleanser induced irritation. However, to be successful, you must block these enzymes prior to the insult. After they have been activated it might take hours to calm them down. 20 minutes prior to showering take an enteric coated baby aspirin, solubilized advil, or Naproxin NSAID.... if you know your stomach can handle these medications. This should help reduce flaring post shower. Discuss this with your physician please. _
