Sometimes a short pulse treatment with topical hydrocortisone can completely stop the immune inflammatory response... but you must be cautious.
Dont use prescription strength. No higher than 1% hydrocortisone.
In general, never use it for more than 3 days in a row unless the inflammation is severe - then 7 days should be the max.
Used correctly, topical hydrocortisone can be a rosacea sufferers best friend, but only for short, acute bouts.
